RSPCA Animal Life magazine
Introduction
From Spring 2011, Animal Life – the official magazine of the RSPCA – will expand its circulation from c30k to c450k for two issues a year. This huge jump is due to us increasing our print run to include many of our supporters; we feel it is important to recognise their on-going loyalty and also keep them updated with all aspects of our work.
The new supporter circulation is made up of people who regularly give by direct debit, cash givers and those who have pledged to remember us in their wills. Animal life was launched in 1990, although the RSPCA has been producing a magazine since 1869. It has continued to go from strength to strength and become a must-read for adults interested in animal welfare. The two bumper issues will be in the spring and autumn; the summer and winter issues will remain unchanged.
The readership is concentrated in the mature, affluent, socially-aware strata of society throughout England and Wales. All share a great interest in animal welfare and most are pet owners.
Established in 1842, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty To Animals is not only the oldest but also the largest animal welfare organisation in the world. It works to prevent cruelty and promote kindeness to animals everywhere.
The Summer and Winter issues will still go to full membership supporters only.
